What's the kingdom of God?
Kingdom comprises two words -KINGDOMAIN: "king and domain." The kingdom of God is the domain where God is the king.
The kingdom of God is the government of God, where Christ reigns; a territory where Christ is the king, which is free of negativities.
The kingdom of God is the jurisdiction of God's rulership as the ultimate king and the territory which he reigns and governs.
God's Kingdom has come to earth as Christ would pray: "thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."
Matthew 6:10. The death and resurrection of Jesus has ushered in the reign of God as king on earth. Hence the kingdom of God has arrived on earth.
Christ reigning in the hearts of men is the beginning of the manifestation of God's Kingdom. God's will is carried on in the heart that Christ dwells richly. And the territory where God's will is done is what we call the kingdom of God.
God wants His will manifested on earth, starting within each individual. The willing individual is called begotten. The term "begotten" was defined as one willingly choosing to do the will of the Father [John 3:16], mirroring Isaac's submission to his father's will (Genesis 22). This application shows that God's desire is to touch the earth through willing sons and daughters. This is kingdom.
God's ultimate plan is to establish His kingdom in individual consciousness, particularly within hearts. While the Government of God is perceivable, its manifestation is not apparent. For the kingdom to be fully manifested, sons must arise whose heart the Lord rules and reigns.
The kingdom of God is here. When Jesus said in Matthew 12:28 that the kingdom of God is come unto you, he meant it. When he said the kingdom of God is at hand, it is true. For he is the king of the kingdom and he wants to reign first in the hearts of men and then in the world at large.
Jesus wants to rule through you. He wants to reign in our world but first, your heart means so much to him for him to reign. He wants you... he wants your heart. He wants to express Himself and His kingdom through you. You must be willing to give him your heart so that the kingdom will become manifest.
The kingdom is here already. As long as God reigns in your heart, then His kingdom reigns. All the Lord wants is the heart of men. Will you give Him yours?
