The Kingdom of God in Man's Heart
God's Kingdom is first operated in the hearts of men. This is where God wants to position His kingdom. Before the kingdom of God gets to the world, it first touches the heart of men.
God wants the whole earth to be filled with His glory but only those whose heart have been shaped by Him can fulfil this purpose.
Wherever you see the reign of God, there's a heart that has yielded to God. Through this man, others will see the government of God made manifest.
Man is essential in kingdom witnessing. He is an expression of the heart. If God will reign, He will reign in and from the hearts of men. Man is Jesus' billboard to show that God's kingdom has arrived. What we do shows the excellency and the glory of God.
Those whose hearts the Lord is already reigning are called disciples. Disciples are followers of King Jesus. Disciples are those that have left all and follow Jesus.
In Mark 3:13-14, Jesus called unto Himself His disciples that:
1. They should be with Him.
2. He might send them out to preach
3. And to have power to heal the sick and cast out devils.
This to Jesus is kingdom work. However, before any disciple can be sent out to work, he needs to first be with Jesus. Only then can he carry out the operations of the kingdom. You become like the person you follow.
Disciples are also called sons. And the whole creation await for the manifestation of sons of God. Romans 8:19. God can only reign when sons arise to take all territories for Him.
Access to the Kingdom involves being born again and, crucially, being born of water and the Spirit. It's not enough to be born again. Being born again only qualifies you as a child of God, it doesn't give you access to the kingdom yet. What gives you access is being born of water and Spirit.
John 3:5
[5]Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Benefits of being born of water and Spirit
- Access to the Kingdom: Being born again doesn't grant automatic access. Access requires being born of water and the Spirit, leading to a comprehensive understanding of God's governance system and ushering individuals into eternal rest.
- Purpose Fulfilment: Being born of water and Spirit brings believers into a realm of finished works, aligning with God's purpose. It establishes God's supreme reign in their lives and encourages others to grasp this reality.
- Deliverance Capacity: Being born of water and Spirit is deliverance. Those yet to be delivered lack the capacity to bring deliverance to this generation. Establishing the government of God in the hearts and spirits of men is crucial for the Kingdom's visibility on earth.
The world is waiting for those born of water and Spirit. One who's born of water and Spirit already belongs to God and has been conquered for God.
One man that the Lord conquers can shape and change the whole world. Will you be that man?
