Luke 1:8–65, Malachi 4:5–6, John 1:19–21, Matthew 11:1
A crisis means a crucial or decisive point or situation.
An identity crisis means not having a clear understanding of who you are. It's when you bear a name that God did not call you. It's a crisis when you deny the name God calls you.
Your identity is your destiny. Of all importance, you must know who you are.
The root of the identity crisis is not accepting who God says you are. Remember, Adam was not deceived. His sin was rebellion because he willingly and consciously did what was wrong. Because the man was the one the Lord gave instruction to.
Luke 1:17
*What makes a particular person an individual is the Spirit of God in that individual.* It's not Elijah who physically came to the earth in the form of John the Baptist; it's the spirit.
How Do We Get Out of an Identity Crisis?
- Cultivate the presence of God.
- Embrace who God has made you and who He calls you. What makes a person a person is the spirit inside of him. You are who God says you are. You are a saviour after the order of Christ.
- Parents, teach your children, whom the Lord calls them, adequately. People or children get into the wrong association because they were not taught adequately.

- Jabez. 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
