School of Tyrannus | Our Identity as Christ's Brothers

John 20:1-18

Emphasis: Verse 17

Every disciple of Christ is Jesus' brother. Hebrews 2:1–18, John 14:1-3

When Jesus died and resurrected, He brought us to the place where He is—before the Father.

In Mark 3:14-14, Jesus chose the people He wanteda as disciples…

He referred to them as His brothers in John.20.17 Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" (NIV)

Tonight, we are encouraged in our generation to be conscious of our identity as Christ's brothers.

We need to have a clear identity—that we are one with Christ.

In Romans.8.29, For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn, with many brothers and sisters. (NLT)

Also we see in Heb.2.11 Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. (NIV)

Jesus called us His brothers and so we should walk in this consciousness with all dignity and prestige..

We as God's children are very dear and precious to Him and

He watches over His own.
