In our journey of understanding human nature, let's draw lessons from the lives of Judas, Balaam, and Demas.
Judas fell prey to Satan's influence through a character flaw - his habit of stealing. Balaam succumbed to greed, seeking profit at the expense of disobeying God's commands. Similarly, Demas fell by forsaking his faith and devotion to God for worldly desires (Galatians 5:19).
Contrastingly, Jesus exemplifies a divine nature, encapsulated in His name Emmanuel, meaning God with us (Matthew 1:21-23, Luke 2). His nature of purity and holiness are evident throughout His life (Luke 1:26-35), reinforcing the truth that God desires us to embody a similar God-nature (2 Peter 1:1-4).
Let's reject the misconception that living a holy life is unattainable. God's grace empowers us to live in accordance with His will (Titus 2:11-12).
